the parish council team
Liz Springs, chair (memorial hall Liaison; Accessibility rep; policies lead; biodiversity lead; FAcebook rep)
“My background is in primary education, administration and management. My family has been in Brill since 1995 and I have been part of the community off and on for the last 26 years. My daughter attends Brill school and we have 2 spoilt pooches I enjoy walking in the village. I feel we are uniquely lucky in our community with beautiful open spaces, rich farmland and amazing diversity of wildlife. I am keen to support, preserve and enrich these things where possible for our future generations by helping our community to develop ideas and strategies to be more bio-diverse and environmentally friendly. During my time on the PC I have developed a greater interest in our declining wildlife, from the tiny bumblebee to the majestic barn owl, and how we can better support these once thriving creatures because sadly, once they're gone they're gone.” Email Liz.
Steven Judge, vice-chair (roads & Traffic; finance sub-committee; Community board rep.)
“I’ve lived in Brill for eight years but, until my retirement, spent much of my time in France where I worked with scientists worldwide to ensure radiotherapy and medical imaging are safe and effective. I think that Brill is a village we can all be proud of, and I want to preserve the community feeling and the environment we enjoy.” Email Steven.
Emi Slater, Councillor (Brill Common & The Walks; BVCH link; tree officer; brill with ukraine coordinator)
“Brill showed confidence in me by voting for me in May 2021 and I will do my best to honour and respect all those in the village equally. I am a teacher trainer and workshop leader by profession working with refugees and young people. I am also a member of Brill Environment Group and volunteer for BBOWT. I am keen to protect the bio-diversity and wildlife within our many areas of common land as well as develop ideas for how Brill can build resilience in the face of the climate crisis.” Email Emi.
Jennifer Tuffley (playing fields inc playgrounds & MUGA; brill school liaison; brill with ukraine coordinator; windmill sub-committee; finance sub-committee)
“I have been living in Brill for 15 years, having married a Brill boy! We now have young children and have enjoyed the beautiful open spaces and facilities in Brill with them and continue to do so. I’d like to support community groups and help to look after the beautiful surroundings we have here in Brill, for the benefit of everyone. I believe in striving to make decisions for the many; i.e. which benefit the most people..” Email Jennifer.
